'' The Computer/Medical Office Assistant program will provide you with the knowledge and skills required to master Microsoft Office and specialized software applications, as well as, the administrative skills required in various medical office settings. This program focuses on the development of strong computer and administrative skills with a special emphasis on interpersonal skills, organizational effectiveness, and communication.
Computer applications form a significant part of the program and include Microsoft Office® applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and using the internet. Specialized software applications used in medical office setting for medical billing are also included.
The diploma program combines small, instructor-led classes with hands-on experience in our computer laboratory. The College also arranges a mandatory 8-week practicum placement as apart of the program curriculum for all students prior to graduation. ...''
