Course Description:
'' The NETPLUS College Networking program was designed for people who have little or no computer knowledge or experience who want to embark on an exciting new career in the computer networking IT Sector. Successful graduates from the program will have specialization in the implementation, administration and support of Microsoft Networking and Server Systems with state-of-the-art training in Voice Over IP (VOIP) Communications Technology.
This is an expanded and more advanced version of the basic computer networking training program that SPECIALISES IN MICROSOFT-BASED NETWORKING AND SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGIES. It designed to quickly prepare students to enter the emerging field of computer networking and VOIP Technology with a focus on Windows-based networking technology and software. Self-employment and full-time job opportunities are available for this profession throughout Canada, the United States, and around the world. Canadian citizens who are receiving Federal Employment Insurance, Provincial Social Assistance or other forms of government income assistance may qualify for full or partial funding for this program.
Course Objectives
To provide the knowledge and skills required for the installation LAN ’s, network hardware, software and VOIP phone systems. To enable students to implement and maintain Internet, Intranet and extranet networks. To provide an educational foundation for a range of service, installation and management careers in computer networking. To provide specialized studies directly relevant to individual vocations and professions in which students are working or intend to seek full time employment To enable students to make an immediate contribution to any new employer To provide flexibility, knowledge, skills and motivation as a basis for career development and as a basis for progression to graduate and post-graduate studies programs. To prepare students for the internationally recognized Microsoft Certified Desktop Support (MCDST) examination. To prepare students for the internationally recognized Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) examination To prepare students for the internationally recognized Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) examination To prepare students for the internationally recognized Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) examination. ...''
