Course Description:
'' The course is planned for 6 sessions 8 to 10 hours each, taking place over 6 consecutive Saturdays with no more than 7 participants.
Each day includes a lecture at the beginning of the day followed by practical exercises tutored by myself. Assisted by gaffer and camera assistant.
For the exercises we will use a typical indie kit consisting of HDV camera with 35mil. lens adaptor, set of Prime Lenses and Light set consisting of 5 HMI units and grip equipment.
By the end of the course you will have gained a practical knowledge and experience on various aspects of visual story telling in drama.
Learning outcomes (LOs):
Formats and their look. Lenses performance. Framing the actor and the space. Capturing the actor’s performance. Creating atmosphere by visual means. Lighting for different occasions DoPs on set edit and getting the necessary coverage. Creating the short film as a composition of scenes. ...''
