Course Description:

'' Our 6 months program prepares students with a strong combination of the office administrative skills, abilities, and clinical knowledge necessary to work effectively in today’s dynamic dental and medical offices. Students will learn both theoretical and practical skills, including computer applications, spreadsheets and databases, accounting and payroll, record management, dental/medical terminology, medical transcription and health billing, dental/medical office procedures, anatomy and physiology, oro-facial anatomy, clinical dentistry, and radiography combined with important human relations and verbal and written communication skills, which are essential components of a job in these fields. In the final part of the program, you will have the opportunity to practice your new skills and make important contacts during a two-week placement at the Oxford College Dental Office facility.
