Basic rock climbing topics are covered including safety, knots, rope handling, moving on rock, belaying, rappelling, anchor placement, and team climbing on multi-pitch routes. Students will practice climbing on routes selected to provide the necessary challenge to enable them to develop their climbing skills.
This course is an excellent first step to learning to climb, preparing you to climb safely and efficiently on multi-pitch climbs, following an experienced leader. It is equivalent to Beginning Rock and Intermediate Rock
