'' For those who want to experience the true nature of climbing! This comprehensive two-day course encompasses the basics of sport leading. Topics include advanced protection placements, use of runners, how to reduce rope drag, leading responsibilities, resting stances, natural hazards, anchoring systems, and route finding. Basic self-rescue and retreat techniques also are taught. The first day leading is done while top-roped, so you can concentrate on learning the techniques. The second day is spent leading on a variety of climbs (5.5 to 5.10) depending on your abilities. If youre serious about climbing, this is the course for you.
