'' The Sun Java System Portal Server 6 2004Q2: Installation and Configuration course provides students with a focus on how the Sun Java System Portal Server 6 2004Q2 (Portal Server) (formerly Sun Open Net Environment [Sun ONE] Portal Server can be installed and configured. Students learn the basic architecture and components of the Portal Server, install the Portal Server in a classroom environment, create organizations within the Portal Server, manage users within the organization, configure the portal desktop,configure services within the Portal Server, and install and configure secure remote access (SRA).
Prerequisites To succeed fully in this course, students should be able to have a: Working familiarity with the Solaris Operating System Familiarity with directory services and the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Familiarity with Internet technologies like Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) Working familiarity with Sun Java System Directory Server 5 2004Q2 (Directory Server) and Sun Java System Web Server 6.1 2004Q2 (Web Server)
