Prerequisites To succeed fully in this course, students should be able to perform basic systems administration tasks, including: Edit files using an editor available in the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS) Execute commands using a command-line interface Use man pages Identify, locate, download and install patches Administer volumes using the VERITAS Volume Manager (VxVM) software Explain the following terms: Random array of independent disks, or RAID (both hardware and software) Fibre Channel Storage area network (SAN) Identify the following Sun products: Sun StorEdge(TM) T3 array Sun StorEdge(TM) A5x00 array Sun StorEdge(TM) Acx00FC array
