'' The Sun StorEdge Availability Suite 3.1 Install, Configure, and Troubleshoot course is designed to familiarize the audience with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures for the two key Sun StorEdge Availability Suite software solution functions: the Remote Mirror and Point-In-Time Copy software

Prerequisites
To succeed fully in this course, students should be able to perform basic systems administration tasks, including:
Edit files using an editor available in the Solaris Operating System (Solaris OS)
Execute commands using a command-line interface
Use man pages
Identify, locate, download and install patches
Administer volumes using the VERITAS Volume Manager (VxVM) software
Explain the following terms:
Random array of independent disks, or RAID (both hardware and software)
Fibre Channel
Storage area network (SAN)
Identify the following Sun products:
Sun StorEdge(TM) T3 array
Sun StorEdge(TM) A5x00 array
Sun StorEdge(TM) Acx00FC array
