'' This training provides comprehensive instruction on using VERITAS File System in a Solaris environment, from basic procedures, such as installation and creation of a file system, to advanced topics, such as extent management and file system tuning. You will learn how to install VERITAS File System, use VERITAS file system commands, and perform online administration using VERITAS File System administration tools.
Skills Gained Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: Backup and restore a file system and create file system snapshots and storage checkpoints Monitor file system fragmentation and defragment a file system Control file system logging behavior and improve performance through logging options Monitor file system structure, upgrade the file system layout, and convert a UFS file system to a VERITAS File System
