'' Nearly all of us would like to be able to make presentations with more poise and flair. And we know that a large part of the secret is building confidence and comfort through planning and practice. This course offers the opportunity to learn how to develop a plan that guarantees an engaging, informative presentation. You learn the importance of defining your audience, and you practice the steps needed to tell your story clearly and persuasively. You learn tips for preparing an effective presentation more quickly and work on such specifics as handling questions and awkward situations, and options for visual aids and how to use them best. The instructor helps you use your voice, face, and body language to build rapport with your audience and coaches you in developing your own personal style. An important emphasis of the course is practice in a supportive environment. The aim is for you to take away a consolidated set of skills so that you approach a presentation with confidence¡ªeven pleasure.
