Course Description:
'' Through the exploration of current dance techniques, this intensive performance-oriented five-week program exposes young dancers to training in a professional environment. Teachers of international stature conduct classes in classical ballet, pointe, variation, men¡¯s classes, pas de deux (by audition), modern, and jazz. The program culminates in public performances during the Banff Summer Arts Festival. Prepared by faculty, and run by a professional production crew, these performances offer the participants the opportunity to appear in a professional performing arts setting.
Dance Training participants must be 13 or older. Dancers in the intermediate and advanced classes will have had at least five years of classical training.
