'' Electricity sectors around the world are facing revolutionary changes. State-owned, vertically integrated, monopoly electricity industries are being restructured to improve performance, and competition and privatisation are frequently on the agenda. New regulatory regimes are being put in place. Leaders and managers in the sector face complex new challenges. This programme, focussed on Africa*s needs, exposes participants to the frontiers of international experience and to best practice in managing these changes and the new regulatory environment effectively. This short course is offered by the Managing Infrastructure Reform and Regulation (MIR) management programme at the GSB, a leading centre of excellence and expertise in Africa and in emerging economies.
