'' This accelerated course focuses on key skills in administering and building a web content management solution using both Content Server and Content Publisher

Who Should Attend
Content Server administrators, site designers, or developers who are managing content repositories with Content Server and creating or managing websites with Content Publisher.

Topics
Designing a security model using security groups, roles, users, and accounts
Designing a metadata model, managing content types, and adding custom metadata fields
Creating workflows to represent a formal approval process for content checked into the Content Server
Using WebDAV and Microsoft Windows Explorer to check in, check out, and modify pieces or batches of content
Using Contribution Template Editor, a WYSIWYG tool, to create HTML forms
Using Site Builder to create a website project containing publications that act as site sections
Adding individual pieces of content to the website or adding groups of content using metadata-driven directory items
Creating and editing templates used to modify the appearance of published content
Designing web page layouts using frames or tables
Designing reference pages (such as tables of content) and creating links by promotion
Exporting, importing, and linking templates and publications
Staging a website into the Content Server for review
Publishing a website into the Content Server while maintaining security and metadata
Using Site Server and Site Scheduler to automate the translation (conversion using templates), staging and publishing process


Prerequisites
Each learner will complete Stellent¡¯s web-based training module on Content Server as a prerequisite. Free access to the WBT is provided .
