'' Create enterprise-class, data-driven Web solutions using PowerBuilder 8.0¡¯s Web target functionality. Design and implement PowerBuilder 8.0 applications using the Web DataWindow and scripting capabilities of Web targets. Implement, deploy, and troubleshoot applications and reuse PowerScript code to power the Web. Leverage added Internet functionality by programming and customizing DataWindows.
Course Objectives :
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
Accelerate the process of deploying web solutions using PowerBuilder 8.0¡¯s Web Target
Include Web DataWindows in HTML pages to retrieve and update data
Pass data between Web DataWindows and HTML pages
Pass data from one Web DataWindow to another Web DataWindow
Manage page and session information in a stateless web environment
Program the Web DataWindow using the Web Target Object Model
Develop, implement, test, deploy and customize Web DataWindow components

Creating Web Pages using the PowerBuilder Web editor, creating forms in the Web editor, writing client-side JavaScript, managing multiple deployment configurations, creating Web pages containing DataWindows, writing JavaScript to display a Web DataWindow, tailoring the DataWindow objects for Web use, creating Web DataWindow container projects in PowerBuilder, setting up database connections, responding to client-side events on the Web DataWindow, managing sessions in a stateless environment, linking master/detail DataWindows, techniques for passing data to and from Web DataWindows, programming the 4GL Web page, programming server-side DataWindow events, influencing the behavior of an event, handling database errors, turning and troubleshooting Web Targets, calling components from HTML clients, customizing the Web DataWindow component, and implementing service classes for the Web DataWindow.
