'' Gain hands-on experience with the new features of Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) version 12.5.2. If you are upgrading from ASE versions 12.5.0.3 and/or 12.5.1, the latest features in version 12.5.2 make ASE even easier to deploy and maintain with enhanced operational scalability to support tougher workloads with fewer resources. ASE 12.5.2 ensures highest operational efficiency and throughput on the broadest range of platforms, from low-end Linux/Intel to large-scale SMP systems.
Learn installation and configuration of ASE 12.5.2, cache management and performance configuration, multiple temp DBs, create and manage jobs with Job Scheduler, and the auto expansion feature. Learn the latest about ASE database backup and security, mount and unmount operations and much more.

Course Objectives :
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
Perform an Upgrade from a previous release of ASE
Use Cache Management utilities to setup, interpret and troubleshoot cache and object level cache statistics
Configure ASE to realize performance improvements
Perform ASE maintenance using improved tools such as job scheduler, auto expansion scripts, Sybase Central plug-in, and the housekeeper utility
Migrate data from ASE versions 12.5.0.3 and 12.5.1 using the sybmigrate tool
