Kursziele

This hands-on course is the first of two courses that prepare system administrators to successfully configure, manage, maintain, and administer an HP 9000 workstation or server in a networked environment. Emphasis is on configuring file systems, peripherals, and user accounts, as well as managing and configuring core OS, patches and application software. Successful completion of both courses (I and II) can lead to HP professional technical certification. The 5-day course is 50 percent lecture and 50 percent hands-on.
After completing this course the student should be able to:
Optimize your file system layout to allow quicker access to data.
Create and control user accounts and manage a computer running HP-UX.
Manage installed software and patches.
Optimize performance by tuning the kernel to specific application requirements.
Use key concepts to ensure users will get the most from their HP-UX system.
Configure and connect systems to a network.
