'' Public relations practitioners use a wide range of formal and informal research methods to develop strategic communication plans and evaluate the outcomes of their programs. Topics include: a non-statistical introduction to the basics of survey research methods, including sampling question and questionnaire design, data collection methods, and basic analysis of results. Also covered is an introduction to focus group facilitation and analysis, and methods of content analysis for media coverage, visitorship/attendance, and communication vehicles.
