'' BEET is medium sized, large enough to provide a properly structured programme, small enough to give individual attention. highlights: Social Programme

We offer an extensive social programme including 2 evening lectures per week. Topics can vary from British history and institutions to literature, poetry, pop and folk songs, plus various social aspects of life in Britain. We also have sing songs , revues (a theatrical evening of comedy and music performed by staff), games, quizzes, New Forest pub visits, sports and Saturday excursions (including visits to London, Bath, Stonehenge, Oxford and Stratford-Upon-Avon).

Bournemouth is a south-coast university and holiday town. Facilities are ideal for holiday-maker and student: a 10-kilometre beach, theatres, art galleries, cinemas (18 screens), IMAX 3-D cinema, night clubs, discos, sports centres, casinos. Events include powerboat races, vintage car rallies, international tennis championships and windsurfing competitions. In summer, there are weekly fireworks and the unique Flowers by Candlelight, when the people light 15,000 candles in the central gardens.
