Flash provides professional animation and graphics tools for the web designer, graphic designer or multimedia developer. Over the two days, through a series of hands-on projects, Flash will be used as a means of creating compact, fast-loading interactive web interfaces, animations, buttons, graphics and cartoons. Delegates will be exporting their Flash movies in Macromedia’s Flash Player/Shockwave format ready to be incorporated into a web site.

Vectors vs bitmaps: resolution issues; vector/bitmap integration; anti-aliasing.
The Flash interface: drawing and painting tools; using layers; integration with other illustration packages.
Bitmap techniques: tracing bitmaps; on-screen issues for flash graphics.
Animation techniques: working frame by frame; using keyframes; motion and shape tweening; motion guides; colour effects; transparency effects; masking layers; sequencing animation; exporting in animated gif format.
Interactivity and navigational issues: creating buttons; creating rollovers; animated buttons; frame actions; using scenes; creating and linking scenes; linking with other sites using Flash.
Creating a self-contained application: the Flash player application; creating a projector; technical issues and RAM considerations.
Flash Player/Shockwave: exporting Flash movies; Optimising Flash movies; browser issues; using publish for export;publish settings for Shockwave, HTML and projectors.
