The Fireworks interface: using the palettes; drawing and painting tools; path tools; selection techniques; working with objects; transformation tools; layers panel; brush panel; fill and stroke panels; effects panel; frames panel; styles panel.
Using colour and text: colour swatches and palettes; using web-safe palettes; using the text editor; typographic options; attaching text to a path; manipulating text.
Fills, brushes & effects: textural effects; using gradients and patterns; object palette; object transparency; blending modes.
Effects: bevel, drop shadow, emboss and glow; applying effects and multiple effects; working with bitmaps; edit bitmap images; working with vectors; edit vector images.
animation and symbols: distributing to frames; frame by frame animation; creating symbols and instances; exporting in animated gif format; animation techniques using tweening; setting animation controls when in export preview.
