'' This course is specifically designed for Microsoft Business Solutions Axapta customers. As an attendee, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the Warehouse Management module. You will become familiar with the components of the module, as well as the different ways that the module allows a company to optimize and streamline item flow through the warehouse. Also, you will gain an understanding of how the module integrates with those others within Microsoft Axapta. You will be asked to complete different exercises to help familiarize you with the product in every way.
This course is intended for professionals involved with implementing Microsoft Axapta in the Production Warehouse areas or anyone who wants to pursue certification in Warehouse Management. This audience typically includes application consultants who are tasked with assessing customers business needs and advising them on the use, configuration, and customization of the application. Additionally, consultants who are responsible for training or supporting the customer will benefit from the course.
Course Outline
Chapter 1: Introduction to Warehouse Management
This first chapter will provide students with a better understand of the general functions and need for a software package able to assist companies in tracking of items in warehousing- not only the basic tracking, but also the integration to other modules within Microsoft Axapta. Students will be given a look at the key benefits of the Microsoft Axapta Warehouse Management system, as well as the functionality required for warehouse management and the structure and integration of Microsoft Axapta Warehouse Management with other modules within Microsoft Axapta. Also discussed will be the importance of maintaining sound records of the items leaving and entering a warehouse.

Chapter 2: Setting up Warehouse Management
In this chapter, the setup process of Microsoft Axapta Warehouse Management will be presented. This lesson attempts to follow the setup flow. However, it is impossible to avoid some jumping back and forth between forms because the forms are interconnected and interrelated. All steps of the basic setup will be covered in detailed description. Set up of inventory dimensions and inventory model groups, set up store areas and zones, and set up of inventory aisles and locations will all be covered.

The chapter will cover in detail how to enter items into quarantine, both manually and automatically. The process for item receipt will be discussed and explained, as well as quarantine orders.
