'' It has been developed in a 4x2 day module format specifically to allow students flexibility in the learning process and to provide sufficient time for revision.
The course is highly practical;it has been designed to emulate more precisely the approach taken in practice by testing professionals and provides value to participants in both testing education and in gaining the certificate.
The 3-hour examination consists of a mandatory double length question [40% of the marks] and 3 from 5 single length questions [20% of marks each]. Currently, exam dates are set by ISEB and are quarterly in mid March, June, September and December. Students may decide for themselves which exam date they wish to sit. Course Objectives: To describe strategies for the software testing of both new development and the maintenance of existing systems To describe different strategies for testing both complete lifecycles and individual phases Plan the testing needed at any level from component to user acceptance testing and document it in compliance with IEEE Std. 829-1998 Analyse risks and use the results to prioritise testing Specify and design test cases Define requirements for an appropriate test environment Run tests using defined test procedures Who Should Attend? Any testing practitioner involved in software testing. This includes testers, test analysts, test engineers, test consultants, test managers, user acceptance testers and software developers.
However, there are strict entry criteria for the exam as follows; You must hold the ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing AND EITHER Have at least 18 months experience in software testing, OR Have completed an ISEB accredited practitioner training course BUT preferably have all 3 of the above Syllabus - Key Points: 1 - Introduction
