Training Course:Project Management for Process ProjectsSchool/Trainer:UNICOM London, Uxbridge, Middlesex, United Kingdom
Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online | On-site | Blended | Self-paced
Course Description:
'' Within our enterprises, associates are under pressure to effectively deliver new technologies, new systems, new organisational structures and HR practices as well as implement new products and services. This need to deliver rapid change is now crossing organisational boundaries and affecting large numbers of people, business processes and therefore project management must converge for the requisite degree of coordination to occur.
Clearly many of these process and change initiatives are high risk and failure could have disastrous implications. In these situations, the confident application of a commonly understood and repeatable yet simple approach is paramount. The approach must ensure customer focus, results alignment, people orientation and quality-consciousness to deliver the appropriate solutions. It can be learned, however, and can become an effective change management tool. The class will encompass four major phases for the process project as a whole, each BPM stage, each and every deliverable. For each of these four project management phases practical guidelines will be described in a highly interactive facilitated manner. Project Visioning - ensures a common visualisation of the results of the process project and its deliverables with all project players and identifies those elements that constitute success. Project Planning - identifies the required methods, processes, deliverables, roles, time and resources as well as the required levels of empowerment needed to achieve the envisioned results. Continuous Project Improvement - provides constant monitoring and awareness of the true status of the project, the mechanisms to re-plan, and identifies opportunities for improvement in all project variables at all times. Acceptance-Handover - ensures confident client acceptance of the project results and the unambiguous completion of the business commitment. Throughout the workshop, group sessions will be featured to emphasize the competencies required. In the workshop you will learn the following: a simple repeatable process to ensure that you are in control of your process project to empower yourself and use others influence to achieve completion. how to gain Customer Acceptance of the results to manage Quality and Scope with Time and Cost in balance how to make sure there are no surprises OUTLINE: Introduction The Business Process Management Framework Project Management as a Cross - Functional Process Principles of Project Commitment Management Responsibility, Accountability and Control Delegation and Acceptance Empowerment and Trust Essentials Project Delivery / Acceptance Model Preparing, Negotiating, Performing Assessing / Evaluating Project Organisation - Mandatory and Optional Roles Creating the Project Vision Process Stakeholders Project Vision and Scope - Process / Project - Performance Objectives Creating Shared Commitment Through Project Plans Project Plans Planning Framework Work Breakdown Structure (Identifying BPM Deliverables and Responsibilities) Activity Estimating and Scheduling Ensuring Plan Acceptance & Commitment Continuous Project Improvement Maintaining Project Control Keeping the Plan Current Overcoming Obstacles Project Acceptance / Completion Visible and Recognisable Goals End Product Decomposition Acceptance Criteria Summary Helping People Change Critical Success Factors ...''
