Training Course:Achieving Process ExcellenceSchool/Trainer:UNICOM London, Uxbridge, Middlesex, United Kingdom
Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online | On-site | Blended | Self-paced
Course Description:
'' This workshop provides a practical approach to Process Management. Many of the tools underpinning the latest thinking in Six Sigma relate to achieving process excellence in organisations from all sectors. What are these tools and how can you use them in everyday practical use without the need to implement a full scale Six Sigma Programme across your organisation? OUTLINE: Organisations often find themselves struggling to be effective because different departments do not interface well with each other and no individual business function has a clear view of the end-to-end processes involved in delivering the companys products and services. In theory, managing processes can help you see this bigger picture and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of your business but how can you achieve this aim? Six Sigma programmes have been shown to be very effective but what about organisations not wishing or not yet ready for a full scale Six Sigma implementation? Catalyst recommends a straightforward approach called AIM in its work on process management, which can be simply summarised in three keywords: Assess Improve Maintain This workshop will explore the tools that can be used under each of these headings. Assess: How can you assess the health of your processes and quantify the opportunities for improvement in your operational activities. We find that most organisations are operating at a fraction of their true potential, with high levels of nonvalue adding activities and with huge potential for increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty. This section brings in approaches from Lean Thinking and the use of the EFQM Excellence Model as well as Six Sigma. Improve: In our experience many organisations struggle with their process improvement projects and have difficulty turning them into tangible benefits. Plans all too frequently fail to get implemented successfully. This section of the workshop will help you focus on areas to bring gains as early as possible, look at root cause analysis techniques and the application of straightforward problem solving tools. Maintain: Having made the gains, you wonĄŻt want to let your performance slip once the benefits have been realised. This section of the workshop will focus on the tools needed to help you maintain your lead, ensuring that you have the most appropriate performance measurement and control systems in place. ...''
