'' Managing risk is key to all businesses so the concept of testing applications in line with business risk management should be a commonsense approach. However, all too often the divide between business and IT operations means that this is either ignored or little understood. Applying risk within the testing process can ensure that testing is focused on the correct areas and that test completion criteria can be accurately specified to ensure that systems are fit for purpose. This course will provide practical approaches to ensuring that the identified project risk is managed in an effective manner and that progress monitoring is continual and communicated.

Risk Analysis
Calculating risk; Risk as a class or category; Perception vs. metric; Differing views of risk; Functional vs. Non-Functional risk; Degrees of risk analysis [how deep do we dig?]; Ongoing analysis and changing emphasis.
Risk Mitigation
