COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Process improvement and quality models being adopted by the IT industry are based on the importance of having processes institutionalised, i.e. followed routinely by managers and engineers as part of the organisation’s culture.
Quality Assurance plays a vital role to ensure institutionalisation of processes by providing objective insight to management and staff into processes being used in the projects and associated work products being built. In this practical course, participants are exposed to the theory and practice of quality assurance.
They learn why quality assurance is important, what is required to implement it at the organisational and project level and are given insight into the value and principles of Quality Assurance, as stated in the most relevant process improvement and quality models such as SW-CMM, CMMI and ISO 9001. Participants will be provided with a practical approach, including methods and work products that will help them implement quality assurance in their organisations
