'' A practical hands-on introduction to web programming using Javascript. This JavaScript course encourages the use of vendor-neutral international standards for dynamic html, but also answers the browser-specific problems which practical web developers face.
Suitable For This JavaScript course is intended for those with experience in programming who wish to make use of JavaScript on Internet/Intranet web pages. Delegates should be familiar with programming language concepts and have experience of writing software in other languages. This is JavaScript training; it does not set out to teach basic programming skills.
Prerequisites Programming experience Understanding of HTML and HTTP Delivery This JavaScript course concentrates initially on browser-independent aspects of JavaScript (for portability) but also covers relevant advanced topics where it may be necessary to break portability to achieve the desired effects. It makes extensive use of exercise sessions to ensure that delegates fully understand the concepts involved and are able to apply them directly by the end of the course. Delegates are supplied with lecture notes and a copy of the OReilly book "JavaScript - The Definitive Guide" on which the course is based.
