'' This detailed technical course delivers a comprehensive and focused introduction to the e-Government Interoperability Framework.
Following on from the HTML, JavaScript and XML: programming workshop, this hands-on course introduces and explains in detail the full protocol and metadata component definitions within e-GIF v5 and demonstrates their applicability within the constraints of the governments recommended implementation policies.
A must for all local government IT technicians as stated by the executive committee briefing issued by central government in April 2002:
"Adherence to the e-GIF specifications and policies is mandatory. They set the underlying infrastructure, freeing up public sector organisations so that they can concentrate on serving the customer through building value added information and services" April 2002
