'' There is no better place to sail than the San Francisco Bay! Cal Adventures offers instructional courses in responsive 15 foot Coronado 15’s and JY 15’s and Bay cruises on larger sailboats. Graduates of our Basic and Intermediate Sailing courses will be prepared to safely handle a small sailboat in winds up to 15 knots.

Cal Adventures rents Coronado 15’s and JY 15’s (15 foot dinghies) to individuals who have completed Intermediate Sailing or a Private Sailing Checkout.
In our Introduction to Sailing we teach 16 hours of theory, safety and skills through demonstrations, lectures and plenty of practice in our fleet of Coronado and JY 15’s. Classes are on either Saturday and Sunday or Wednesday and Friday. Graduates will be prepared to safely handle a small sail boat in winds as strong as 15 knots. The 6:1 student to instructor ratio and on-boat instruction promotes quick learning.
