Objectives - Auto body Technician (formerly auto body collision repair)
This 26 week course will give you insight into all the various aspects of what it takes to get the vehicle in near to new condition. It will teach you the basics - about paint touch ups to the advanced skills like how to assess and fix structural damage.

This certificate program is for individuals wishing to prepare for a career in auto body collision repair. Gain the skills necessary to demonstrate basic competency in welding, metalwork, plastics, surface prep and painting.

Course Outline -

Understanding automobile construction
Using auto body hand tools
Body and paint shop procedures and safety
Mig welding
Basic sheet metal straightening
Sheet metal finishing using fillers
Planning and execution of repairs
Automotive plastics
OEM finishing and refinishing
Surface preparation
Final Painting
Certificate -
Upon graduation you receive the Autobody Collision Repair Certificate from the Automotive Training Centre.
