Course Outline What it Looks Like - The Anatomy of a Successful Presentation This program kicks off with an examination of the parts of a presentation, how to create a successful introduction, the importance of transitions, and captivating closes. Participants will dive in "head first" with a short practice presentation illustrating principles discussed. Let Me Tell You... - Understanding Audience Differences Using Business Training Works signature diagnostic tool, The Communication Jungle, participants will identify their own presentation styles, the styles of different types of audience members, and how to adjust to each for better communication. Highs and Lows ¨C Adding Vocal Variety In this module participants will explore several techniques for adding vocal and visual variety to their presentations. Goodbye monotone. Hello dynamic speaker. Stop Shaking in Your Shoes - How to Overcome the Fear of Public Speaking Fear is a reason many people do not enjoy public speaking. This module looks at the reasons for fear, techniques to overcome fear, and gives participants a checklist for projecting the best possible image. Say goodbye to "um," "ah," and "you know." Tickling Their Funny Bone - How and When to Use Humor Humor used well can make a presentation come alive. Humor that isnt funny, on the other hand, can destroy a message.
