'' Looks at the field of financial management from a managerial perspective. In addition to presenting the techniques that managers use to assess a firm146s financial health, the course explores financial decisions that are made with the intention of enhancing shareholder value. These decisions involve corporate investments, should term as well as long term; financing of the firm146s investments; and acquisition of other businesses for the purpose of vertical or horizontal integration and expansion. It will examine the analytical framework of each of these decisions and their implication for increasing the wealth of the shareholders. A parallel practice throughout the twelve-month program will be the ongoing integration and application of this in the strategic projects by developing the financial planning component of the strategic planning project.
