'' Introduces you to the architecture of the Internet and World Wide Web. You will learn the history of the Internet, the server-client paradigm, HTML (hypertext markup language), website design and organization, HTTP (hypertext transfer protocol), TCP/IP, CGI (common gateway interface), server- and client-side program and script deployment, web server installation and configuration, and necessary Unix skills. After completing this course, you will have a working knowledge of the architecture of a web site and a familiarity with the architecture and structure of the Internet and its basic services. You will also have an introductory knowledge of basic features and concepts related to the Internet and World Wide Web, with an emphasis specific to WWW site design, creation and maintenance.
