'' This course will help the attendees prevent and solve moisture and mold problems that have plagued the Florida hotel industry for many years. These conditions have caused extreme financial loss, guest dissatisfaction, and complete removal of walls and furnishings in some extreme cases. In spite of the best efforts of hoteliers, these problems have often reoccurred, sometimes even after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on repairs. This 4-hour course will provide practical, proven, and economical approaches in dealing with the problem in both new and existing properties.
The presenters of this course have a combined 40+ year history of successfully solving moisture and mold problems in both new and existing properties. They have written three books on the subject and have worked in hotels with a combined total of 80,000 guest rooms.
Target Audience--This course will be of interest to general managers, engineering managers, architects, chief housekeepers, property managers, developers and owners, and everyone who designs, owns/operates, or builds hotels.
As a part of this course each attendee will receive the 100-page book titled "Preventing Moisture & Mold Problems: Design and Construction Guidelines." This manual was developed for a major central Florida theme park/hotel operator and has been used to successfully construct over 20,000 hotel rooms without moisture and mold problems.
