'' This 20-hour course is designed to give individuals some basic vocabulary, questions, and key phrases to communicate in a limited capacity with Spanish speakers. Grammar will be a program component. Participants will experience all four skills of communication including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Tuition includes student workbook and reference aid, which will be provided on the first day of class. Participants will learn to: Identify classroom vocabulary Understand and respond to classroom commands Say the alphabet and spell words in Spanish Ask how to write someone¡¯s name Understand and respond to classroom questions Identify cultural characteristics of Mexico and Spain Greet someone and introduce yourself Ask how someone is doing and say how you are End a conversation and say good-bye Identify family members Describe how people are related Introduce a third person Count from 0 to 100 Describe your family composition Say how old people are Ask and talk about your family ...''
