'' This Paralegal Communications program is designed and taught by experienced lawyers and paralegals and provides comprehensive training in paralegal studies. The goal of the program is to provide students with cogent and critical reasoning abilities; effective oral and written communication skills; and a solid understanding of legal principles. The program’s objective is to graduate students who are capable of providing responsive, sympathetic and competent legal services in a costeffective manner, thereby facilitating access to justice. The partnership of academic studies and practical skills training has as its purpose the acquisition by students of meaningful and marketable employment skills.

Career Opportunities
Paralegals may act independently in the representation of clients as Agents. They are permitted to represent clients in small claims matters; landlord/tenant matters; matters before most federal and provincial agencies and tribunals such as immigration and workplace safety and insurance matters; pardons and name changes; and other minor civil law matters. Paralegals may also find employment in a wide variety of workplaces under the supervision of a lawyer or other professional including the following:
