'' The Professional Legal Assistant program facilitates the development of clerical skills and introduces students to the legal terms, concepts and documents utilized within the legal profession. This 1300-hour program combines lectures, inquiry and discussion, frequent quizzes, assignments, practice file work and examinations.

Career Opportunities
Most Professional Legal Assistants will be employed by law firms as office support personnel under the supervision of a legal practitioner. Other employment opportunities include real estate and trust companies, legal departments of large corporations, financial institutions, as well as federal, provincial and municipal governments.
