'' Non-linear digital video editing is now the industry-standard for professionals working in television, film and on the Internet. Industry demand for editors skilled in the leading digital post-production techniques has caused non-linear editing to emerge as a growing specialty. IADTs three-term Post Production for Film & Television program offers students the knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to establish themselves as professionals in this evolving field. Course instructors are current industry professionals and students have access to one of the largest installations of AVID systems in North America, providing an ideal training ground for learning. Working with both the Digital Television and Recording Arts departments can give students a thorough understanding of what a profession in the post-production environment is really like. As one of their final projects, in fact, students work through the entire post-production process of a short film, from acquiring footage and working with the director to sending the final edit off to a sound engineer for sound and scoring. ...''
