'' The Computer Forensics program is designed to provide students with skills in the area of criminology, data recovery, computer operating systems, network security, encryption, cybercrime investigation, the collection and analysis of computer based evidence, ensuring the integrity of the chain of evidence, and preparing evidence for presentation in a court of law. Students will gain experience with professional investigative software and evidence gathering in the computer lab. Students must pass a criminal background check prior to the start of classes. Graduates of this program will be qualified to obtain employment locally and nationally as a security coordinator, investigator, computer forensics specialist, intrusion detection analyst, network security analyst, security specialist, etc. The length of the program is 7 quarters over a period of 21 months. Students must complete the program with a minimum of 103.5 quarter credit hours. This program is represented to lead to multiple job opportunities and is not meant to lead to any particular outcome, including that specified in the program title. Although the School will assist the student with job placement, finding a job is the ultimate responsibility of the student.
