Course Description:
'' The objective of the Graphic Design program is to prepare students with the knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for entry-level positions as graphic designers and illustrators, layout artists, production artists, and multi-media artists. Students will be encouraged to develop creativity while stressing technical and presentation skills. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded an Associate of Applied Science degree. Graduates of this program may design advertising campaigns, logos, packaging posters, publications, etc. from the concept to the final printing process for magazines, newspapers, journals, and other publications. Graduates may also create graphics for television and computer- generated media. The length of the Graphic Design program is eight quarters culminating in 105 quarter credit hours. This program is represented to lead to multiple job opportunities and is not meant to lead to any particular outcome, including that specified in the program title. Although the College will assist the student with job placement, finding a job is the ultimate responsibility of the student. The College does not guarantee that any student will be placed in any particular job, or at all. ...''
