'' Beginning in preproduction and through production and editing, its the directors job to tell the story and oversee both the creative and technical aspects of the film. In this module students will be introduced to the art and craft of directing dramatic scenes and re-enactments and gain experience working with actors. Topics include script analysis for directors, preproduction, research, casting and auditions; working effectively with actors, conducting rehearsals, blocking the scene and collaborating with the crew. Emphasizing the practical aspects of directing, upon completion of this module students will be prepared to plan a scene during the "Preproduction" class, create a shot list for the scene during the "Cinematography" class and direct the scene during the "Shooting on Location" module. ...''
