Learn about the elements of garden design and the local climate and topography, and consider your community, your style and your family¡¯s needs and hobbies. Working within your budget and time limitations, discover how to cope with space limitations, polluted soil and air and shade from buildings and trees. Learn basic landscape and garden design styles, from formal to naturalistic, along with key principles and applications while you complete two garden design projects. Visits to the Music Garden, the Toronto Botanical Garden and several private gardens are included, which give you the opportunity to see real-life examples of the garden design styles and plant selections covered in the course. ...''
