'' TIG stands for Tungsten Inert Gas and is also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). TIG welding is a commonly used, high-quality welding process that has become a popular choice when high-quality precision welding is required. TIG welding has a number of advantages over other welding processes:
The sharp and rigid tungsten allows for high-precision welding.
The small arc produced by TIG welding is ideal for welding thin materials.
No material is added to the weld unless it is required.
