Course Description:

'' Learn from practicing PR pros and obtain a professional certificate to document your new skills and knowledge. If you are seeking employment or advancement in employee communications, media relations, advertising, community relations or special events, you will learn valuable skills in this comprehensive program. The curriculum has been assembled and reviewed by a committee of public relations professionals representing UNLV faculty and a cross section of Southern Nevada business and government agencies.

FACULTY
The practical, skills-oriented courses are taught by knowledgeable public relations practitioners, with both academic credentials and years of experience in their field. Additionally, reliance on professionally accredited practitioners as instructors is emphasized using the resources of the local chapters of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

CURRICULUM
To obtain the Certificate in Public Relations Skills you must complete six required courses and four elective courses from those listed below and prepare a portfolio demonstrating the public relations skills acquired from your course work and/or workplace.
