'' In this program, students begin with foundation art and general studies courses, to gain an understanding of important design aspects such as color theory. They then go on to take courses in areas such as sewing, materials and trends. Students will learn how to design various types of accessories, such as footwear, hats, jewelry, hosiery, eyewear, and umbrellas. The focus is on design rather than manufacturing ¨C how to use color, textiles, stones, metal and other materials to create a dynamic yet functional accessory.
