'' This program is designed to prepare the graduate with theory and working knowledge to enter the work field as an entry-level air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration service mechanic.

Electronic Fundamentals, 10 Weeks, 12 Quarter Credit Hours
Students will understand electrical theory as it applies to Heating and Air Conditioning.

Refrigeration Fundamentals, 10 Weeks, 12 Quarter Credit Hours
Students will understand the refrigeration cycle and its basic components in addition to basic principles about installation and troubleshooting basic problems.

Air Conditioning, 10 Weeks, 12 Quarter Credit Hours
Students will understand air properties, how to size equipment, how to check and troubleshoot refrigeration and electrical problems on air conditioning equipment.

Heating, 10 Weeks, 12 Quarter Credit Hours
Students will troubleshoot combustion and electrical problems in fossil fuel equipment, and understand the theory and principles of heat pumps and condensing furnaces.

Advanced Refrigeration, 10 Weeks, 12 Quarter Credit Hours
Students will understand compressor components, capacity control, methods of unloading, as well as operation components of refrigeration, freezers, ice-making equipment, and walk-in coolers cooling units.

Advanced HVAC, 10 Weeks, 12 Quarter Credit Hours
Students will understand operation components of domestic refrigeration and controls, freezers, and ice makers, blueprint reading, humidifiers, preventative maintenance troubleshooting, and customer relations. ...''
