Course Description:
'' Construction Technology provides students, who work in or plan to enter management of residential projects and commercial projects, with the knowledge and skills necessary for employment. Emphasis is placed on inspection, estimating, scheduling, legal, and business aspects of construction. The curriculum is designed to qualify personnel in both engineering technology and management for employment in all areas of a construction firm. Occupational objectives include engineering aide, assistant construction project manager, assistant construction supervisor, estimator, and facilities planning. This program consists of sixty (60) weeks, divided into six (6) terms of ten (10) weeks each, 72-quarter credit hours of theory and associated lab instruction, as well as six (6) quarter credit hours of general education, for a total of 78-quarter credit hours (1080 Clock Hours) in the areas described below. Each ten (10) week term is equal to thirteen (13) quarter credit hours (QCH). A description of the General Education courses can be found at the end of this Addendum.
