Understand the ASA, which is the basis for all the rules for the PIX and the default behaviors that the ASA engine will allow. Learn how to configure NAT and PAT on each interface of the PIX. Learn how to configure PPPoE and DHCP server or client for the PIX when in a branch-office or home-office scenario. Understand the basic functionality of routing on the PIX and the routing protocols that it will support. Learn how to configure syslog support and how to configure NTP support when necessary. Title 3: PIX Advanced Configuration (282967) Discover the advanced capabilities of the PIX Firewall. Learn about the different configurations available on the PIX to support many types of VPN deployments. Learn about multicast support on the PIX.
