'' This course is designed for individuals who have experience with Meridian 1 and Communication Server 1000 systems using Optivity Telephony Manager (OTM) software and require knowledge of the new Nortel Communication Server 1000 Telephony Manager (TM) Release 3.0. This course provides an overview of the new features, components and enhancements introduced and supported with TM 3.0. Understanding of networking fundamentals (for example: terminology; cabling; common protocols such as TCP/IP; hubs and routers; network management; data communication standards; and LAN/WAN internetworking technologies)
Understanding of Meridian 1 and/or Communication Server 1000 system architecture and administration (for example: terminology, system types, serial and Ethernet cabling, database hierarchy, common Load/Overlay programming, such as defining limited access passwords; Serial Data Interface ports; cards and stations, synchronization routines)
Understanding of OTM management of Meridian 1 or CS 1000 systems
