Course Description:
'' This five-day instructor led course is designed to enable IT professionals to perform administrative tasks using the Novell services included in the 1.0 version of the Novell Nterprise Linux Services product release. Attendees will recreate a unified web environment demonstrated in the Digital Airlines scenario at the beginning of class utilizing the services included in Novell Nterprise Linux Services. Attendees will set up the storage, database, print, file and web administration services represented by the Novell services which run on Linux. As part of the classroom instruction, attendees will work with multiple lab exercises to help them practically apply course concepts and reinforce their proficiency with Novell services
Objectives
Navigate the Linux Operating System and the Ximian Desktop 2
Perform an NNLS, eDirectory, iManager and LUM installation
Carry out management of NNLS accounts
Install and implement the DirXML Drive for eDirectory
Describe the purpose of iFolder ls and how it is used to manage personal files
Manage an iPrint environment
Implement NetMail
Describe the installation and configuration process of Virtual Office to gain NNLS web access
Pre-Requisites
A basic Linux skill set, as reflected by the LPI Level 1 certification or equivalent experience
Azlan offer courses LIN001 through LIN005 which are focused on the knowledge relevant to LPI Level 1

However, a primer is provided at the beginning of class to introduce students to enough Linux knowledge to complete the exercises.
Target Audience
This course is intended for Novell customers who have 1) entry-level to mid-level network administration experience, 2) intentions to implement Novell Nterprise Linux Services in an enterprise, government or small business environment, and/or 3) intentions to achieve Novell¡¯s Certified Linux Engineer certification
